The Dovecote is an historic three storey barn sleeping 4 in 2 luxurious ensuite bedrooms. Explore the surroundings or venture to York, this barn is perfect for families.

Barn Location
The Dovecote is both a three storey Dovecote with en-suite bedroom on each floor as well as a bright kitchen extension on ground floor.
Kitchen & Dining
The beautiful Neptune kitchen is well equipped with everything you need to cook up a gourmet meal with family or friends. The living and dining areas are open plan, allowing the space for good conversation during any food preparation. The dining table can seat 6 (on request) which is handy of you have one of the additional two person rooms booked.
The Lounge
The sitting area is furnished with two beautiful tweed and leather sofas set around the log burner, perfect for relaxing on an evening with a drink before dinner. The Smart TV ensures all necessary viewing is kept up-to-date whilst on holiday!
Garden Patio
French doors lead from the kitchen/dining area to the enclosed patio garden. Here you will find a BBQ, table and chairs for al fresco dining.
Bed 1 - Super King or Twin
Located on the first floor, a comfy bed featuring John Lewis luxury Yorkshire wool mattress, you can guarantee a good night’s sleep, relaxed and ready to explore! The zip-linked bed can be split into twin beds. It has an ensuite including shower cubicle.
Bed 2 - King Size
Located on the second floor, the king bedroom with super comfy mattress features the original queens truss ceiling. It has an ensuite with shower over bathtub.

Only a 25% deposit will be required to secure your booking if booked greater than 8 weeks ahead of the start of the break.
We can also take bookings and card payments over the telephone.
Need an extra bed?
The Sack Store provides accommodation for an extra 2 people and can be booked alongside The Dovecote to increase your total group size to 6. All can dine together in The Dovecote (on request).
The Sack Store has it’s own private entrance, parking, shower/WC and is accessed via the steps in the photo above or via the Grand Barn.
