Accessibility – THE DOVECOTE (Sleeps 4)

At a Glance

There are 2 dedicated parking spots for the Dovecote. One is 2m away from the front entrance, the other approx 40m distance.

The Dovecote has a stepped access ( 2 x 130mm steps) into the main front entrance.
The patio access also has 2 steps x 100mm leading from the kitchen french doors to the private patio which is a mix of slate chippings and slabs.

We have non-allergic bedding if requested.
Bedrooms are accessed via flights of stairs with one ensuite bedroom on each floor.
The super-king bed can be split into twin beds if required on the first floor.
Bedrooms have ceiling lights, wall lights, bedside lamps and natural daylight.
Bedroom furniture is moveable, to aid accessibility.

There is a separate WC on the ground floor entrance of the Dovecote.
From the main entrance to the first bedroom, there are 12 stairs, each measuring 217mm high, 260mm deep and 740mm wide.
The handrail is to the right.
The bedroom doors are 760mm wide.
To reach the second bedroom, there is a further 12 stairs.

We have information in large print on request.
There are no steps once in the ground floor of the building, so access around the property is made easier and it has an open plan kitchen/lounge area.
There is good contrast between cupboard and worksurfaces.

From the entrance hallway/WC to the lounge, there is level access. The route is 1060mm wide, or more.
The lounge area is open plan with the kitchen.
There are 2 x spacious 2 seater leather and tweed sofas.
The SMART TV allows for subtitles and audio options.
The TV/DVD furniture stand is at 480mm from floor level.

From the main entrance to the kitchen, there is level access. The kitchen is open plan.
There is a SMEG fridge/ice box measuring a height of 1680mm.
The hob is available at a height of 900mm.
The sink is available at a height of 890mm.
Worktops are 920mm above floor level.
The ovens are available at a height between 650mm and 900mm.
The table and plates have high colour contrast.
The kitchen table measures 1370mm by 900mm with an underspace of 640mm.
All crockery, cutlery, pans etc available from base units.
All ground floor flooring is underfloor heated tiles.
Access to the private patio area is via the kitchen french doors with 2 x 100mm steps.

The route to the bedroom is 740mm wide, or more. The bedroom door is 760mm wide. It opens inwards hinged on the left (self-closing fire door).
When made as a super-king bed, there is 460mm on the left and 540mm on the right space at the side of the 1800mm bed.
The bed is 600mm high.
The bathroom door is 760mm wide.
The bathroom has a level access shower cubicle. The shower head position is adjustable.
The ensuite has a wall hung toilet (480mm from floor) and basin washstand (850mm from floor).
The taps are lever operated.
The walls and the bathroom fittings have high colour contrast.

The route to the bedroom is 740mm wide, or more. The bedroom door is 760mm wide. It opens outwards hinged on the right (self-closing fire door).
There is 980mm on the left and 570mm on the right space at the side of the 1500mm bed.
The bed is 530mm high.
The bathroom door is 760mm wide.
The bathroom has an overhead shower over bath. The shower head position is adjustable.
The ensuite has a wall hung toilet (480mm from floor) and basin washstand measuring 930 from floor level.
