Accessibility Guide – The Dovecote Barns

Welcome

We have always aimed to make the Dovecote Barns as accessible as possible within the confines of what was possible within the conversion of the original 19^th century barns to sustainable five-star holiday barns.  We are always willing to do what we can to tailor each individuals needs and provide the aids we can to ensure that each guests stay is as perfect as we can make it.  Whether this is peaceful and quiet safe surroundings for autistic guests or perhaps a shower chair for a wheelchair user. We are always at the end of a phone or email to help and also live on-site so are available 24/7 to assist.  We are located next to open countryside on the edge of the peaceful village of Kelfield.  Manor Farm is a working arable farm, but farm vehicles have access to the farm on a different road to the holiday cottages and event space.

Each of our four barns are rated by VisitEngland as five-star Gold Award standard. 

The Irishman’s Cottage is rated M3A under the National Accessible Scheme.  It has a large roll in shower wetroom and is fully wheelchair accessible.

The communal / event space called ‘The Long Hall’ has a fully accessible toilet with wall hung toilet support and a continence table.
